The inaugural Professional Liverpool Idol event, a parody on The X-Factor, will be held on July 9 at PanAmerican, at the Albert Dock, with
the aim of raising more than &pound15,000. Up to 10 singers will go head-to-head in front of a panel of esteemed judges and a screaming audience, with their peers in the crowd deciding the winner. Each wannabe will receive professional vocal coaching from Sense of Sound and the backing of a full band. Mark Chadwick, chief executive of Professional Liverpool, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to trade iMacs for microphones and take part in a truly unique local charity event.
