2:40pm Saturday 2nd May 2009 AN historic pub and restaurant which has gone through an extensive refurbishment and renovation programme is set to welcome
lovers of food and drink through its doors once again. The Crown & Sandys in Ombersley, near Worcester, will be reopen to the public from noon on Thursday, May 14. The grade two listed building dating back to the 16th century has undergone some major structural work over the last 10 months and it will be the first time its owners Richard and Rachael Everton will have both it and Browns Restaurant in Worcester fully operational at the same time since 2007. While the work has been stressful, the owners said they are confident they have managed to retain the historical features of the building in Main Road. The reopening also means up to 12 jobs could be created. Mr Everton said:
