10:46am Friday 29th May 2009 A SPORTS day for all ages will be held next month featuring a high-octane netball competition and the chance
to ride some unusual bicycles. The event will feature over 40 different sports and be held in the high-performance Lee Valley Athletics Centre, Edmonton. The day will feature over 40 activities including cycling, martial arts, climbing skateboarding and a competition of a form of netball with rules changed to up Visitors will have the opportunity to try out tandems, tricycles and a whole range of unusual bicycles, while people can bring their own bikes for an MOT with a bike mechanic. Those who like a slower pace can try short mat bowls or a spot of golf. There will also be free health checks and advice on how people can improve their health and fitness. The event, on June 21 from 11 to 5pm, is the brainchild of charity Sporting Futures which promotes sport and a healthy lifestyle. For more information visit www.sportingfutures.co.uk
