Ride to Remember set for Sept 12

Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Home Page A Ride to Remember Motorcycle Charity event in memory of Michael Garron and to raise money for local cancer patients
will take place Sept. 12 at the Polish American Citizen’s Club, Dupont. Garron was 45 years old when he died following a motorcycle accident on Aug. 27, 2008. The event will feature a 40-mile scenic ride through the Pocono Mountains, food and entertainment by The Dawgs and E&W Productions. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with kickstands up at noon. Cost is $10 for riders, passengers and guests. For more information call 406-5127. All proceeds will go to Miles for Michael of the Luzerne Foundation, which is not affiliated with Michael Garron. This is a local charity that provides financial support for unexpected expenses incurred by families of cancer patients throughout the region.
