Sibling Support Day 2023

Our Sibling Support Day is for children aged between 5 and 16 years who have lost a baby brother or sister.

The loss of a sibling is a deeply profound and heart-wrenching experience that forever changes the lives of children left behind. These young individuals find themselves navigating an uncharted path of grief, grappling with complex emotions, and adapting to a new reality filled with absence. The loss of a sibling can bring a unique set of challenges, as it alters family dynamics, reshapes identity, and raises questions about mortality and the fragility of life. With unwavering resilience, these children face their grief, seeking solace, understanding, and support as they embark on a journey of healing and remembrance, forever carrying their sibling’s memory in their hearts.

Amidst the trials faced by children who have lost a sibling, organizations like the Lily Mae Foundation shine as beacons of hope and support. Committed to providing bereaved families with comfort, guidance, and resources, the Lily Mae Foundation offers a helping hand along the path of healing, ensuring that no child walks this difficult journey alone.

A significant initiative by the Lily Mae Foundation is their upcoming charity event, Sibling Support Day. This event serves as a poignant gathering for children who have lost a sibling, offering them a safe and nurturing environment to connect with others who share a similar experience. Sibling Support Day aims to provide these young individuals with a day of camaraderie, understanding, and activities designed to honor their lost siblings and foster healing bonds among peers.
