Take a pledge to eradicate extreme poverty around the world!
Here is an event in Wellington to mark the
UN Day for the Eradication of World Poverty (Friday 17 October). The ‘Stand Against Poverty’ national event will be held in Civic Square from 11.30am Friday 17 October.
The national event will feature speeches by politicians, a soup kitchen (soup served by politicians!), anti-poverty pledge, a message booth to submit your messages or petition to government and a live band.
UN Pledge will be read out by Annette King.
