Tim Clark, Vijah Singh and Sean O’Hair shot 64s and were lined up right behind Stricker: Clark was one shot back, Singh one more and O’Hair yet another. India’s Jeev Milkha Singh and France’s Michael Lorenzo-Vera shot 5-under 69s yesterday to share the second-round lead of the European Open in Ash, England. They are at 8-under 136, one stroke ahead of England’s Anthony Wall and France’s Christian Cevaer. American John Daly missed the cut and then announced he will miss next week’s Wales Open.
Tiger Woods will play next week at the Memorial in Dublin, Ohio, where he is a three-time winner. He skipped the tournament in 2006, because of the death of his father, Earl, and last year, because of knee trouble.
