Bangalore: Leading long distance runners, ranging from Kenya’s Grace Momanyi, defending champion in the women’s section to Rwanda’s Dieudonne Disi in the men’s section
— who won the Delhi Half Marathon in 2007 — are part of a 40-strong International contingent that will compete for a share of the $155,000 prize money in the Sunfeast World 10k run here on May 31. The event has logged in more than 15,000 entries and registrations, both online as well as on-the-spot, are still open.
More top runners are expected and talks are on with the defending champion in the men’s section — Eritrea’s Zersenay Tadesse — though he is yet to confirm his participation.
