According to the United Nations, 1.6 billion people worldwide lack adequate housing and if the current trend continues, it’s estimated that by 2030, this number would rise to 3 billion. Imagine, not having a proper roof over your head to protect you from the rain and heat. Imagine being outside, exposed to the elements with no walls to protect you. Imagine just walking around, wondering where you’ll be able to sleep safely tonight because you have no room. Now, imagine if you have family. How will you keep them out of harm’s way without a proper home? For this reason, Habitat for Humanity was created. For them, “Everyone deserves a decent place to call home.”

On April 24, 2024, Habitat for Humanity Singapore will be having Swing for Shelter at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club, Singapore. The organization’s very first charity golf and dinner, proceeds from this fundraising event will go to their home building and home rehabilitation programs.
