Teams wanted for Longford Park It’s a Knockout

A CHILDREN’S charity is looking for teams to take part in this year’s It’s a Knockout challenge in Coventry.
It follows the success of last year’s event which was hosted by 1980s children’s television presenter Timmy Mallet. The presenter, who recently appeared in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, will be back hosting the challenge again this year on Sunday, May 17, at Longford Park. It is run by the charity Children Today, which provides grants for equipment for disabled children. Organisers are looking for teams of up to 10 people from Coventry to take part in the challenge, which will include games featuring giant inflatables. Each team must have a fundraising target of at least &pound1,000 and the money raised by each team will go towards the needs of disabled children and young people in the area. WHEN Bethany Keenan was diagnosed with a rare form of children’s cancer her family hardly dared imagine this moment.
HUNDREDS of people took to the streets of Coventry on Saturday for a protest rally against council proposals to cut funding for children and youth services in the city.
