The Halloween Party 2023

Let’s scare the big C away!

According to the World Health Organization, “Each year, an estimated 400,000 children and adolescents of 0-19 years old develop cancer.” It is considered one of the leading causes of death among children and adolescents. Through early detection and proper treatment though, most childhood cancers can be cured. These treatments come at a cost though and this is where the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity comes in.

The Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity supports the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) by funding its different treatment and research programs. On October 8, the organization will be holding “The Halloween Party” at Battersea Arts Centre to raise money for GOSH’s brand-new Children’s Cancer Centre. This event will surely tickle everyone’s fancy as it’ll have t-shirt printing and jewelry making, among others, for the kids and an exciting raffle draw and silent auction for the adults.

About the event

On Sunday 8th October 2023, The Halloween Party will be returning at a brand–new venue, Battersea Arts Centre. Following the huge success of the 2022 Halloween Party which raised over £378,000 for the vital new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH, we are excited to be returning once again with this family event!

Taking place at Battersea Arts Centre on Sunday 8th October 2023 from 3-5:30pm, families can once again expect a wonderful afternoon of fun and fundraising. Children will be entertained with an array of activities including t-shirt printing, jewellery making, engraving and much more. With the little ones entertained, adults will have the opportunity to win amazing prizes on our Gift Tree or bid on prizes in our exclusive silent auction featuring money can’t buy, luxury items and experiences.

Fundraising for GOSH

All of the money raised at The Halloween Party will directly fund the brand-new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH, a vital new development which will facilitate pioneering research into kinder and safer treatments, provide crucial welfare services for patients and families during their time at GOSH and state-of-the-art treatments and medical equipment, making an enormous difference to the lives of seriously ill children.

A mother of a child diagnosed with Wilms Tumor said, “I dream of the day when every child can be promised a cure. Yes, heroes come in all sizes, but the tiniest of heroes should be promised a full long life, too.” This October, let’s band together and scare the big C away.
