3:00pm Sunday 17th May 2009 More than 3,000 runners braved the rain to complete the 28th annual Oxford Town and Gown fun run this
morning. The 10km run, in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, began in St Cross Road, near University Parks, at 10am. The course passed colleges Brasenose, Balliol, Trinity, Wadham, Keble and Mansfield and the quickest runners completed it in just over half an hour. Londoner Orlando Edwards, 33, raced to the finish line ahead of everyone else in 32 minutes and 34 seconds. He pipped his friend Stephen Kimber to the post by just nine seconds. He said:
