Trees Company For Wild About Wood Festival 2009: 138pm Friday

Trees company for Wild About Wood festival

1:38pm Friday 13th February 2009 BUSINESS from York and North Yorkshire are rallying to see the trees for the wood.
They are pledging their support for the inaugural Wild About Wood Festival, a weekend celebration of wood for all ages, being held at the Arboretum at Castle Howard, near Malton, on September 12 and 13. Some firms are giving their services free to the event, which promises to be the largest of its kind in the North of England. Now the trust wants other local businesses to support the festival. Thousands of tree, plant and nature enthusiasts are set to converge on Castle Howard and tree festival fun will come in the shape of activities such as chainsaw sculpting, furniture making, willow weaving, clog making and woodland wonder trails. Wild About Wood aims to inspire, educate and entertain its visitors and to give them chance to explore the 150 acres and 6,000 species of trees to be found at the Arboretum.
