Rebuilding of lives affected by the tsunami in northeast Japan

This one day event is to reflect on the events of 2011 and to look forward to the rebuilding of lives affected by the tsunami that happend in northeast Japan (Tohoku) last year.
The program begins with a private screening of an Oscar nominated short documentary film, ‘The Tsunami and the cherry blossom’, followed by a talk by the governor of Miyagi prefecture, one of the worst hit area by the tsunami, and discussion by key figures from UK and Japan on the rebuilding of the Tohoku area.
This event is hosted by TERP London, Sakura front and Japan Research Centre (SOAS)
