Valentinersquos Message From Army Captain In Afghanistan For 2009: An Army

Valentinersquos message from Army captain in Afghanistan for

AN Army captain serving in Afghanistan sent a special Valentine’s Day message to his loved one in Huddersfield.
Capt David Neville, from Wigan, was fighting the Taliban instead of playing Romeo this year. But the 25-year-old asked the Examiner to help convey his heartfelt feelings to his Huddersfield lass &ndash known only as Gemma. He said: “I’ve been away from my wonderfully patient girlfriend for another seven months and I’m looking forward to a real blow-out holiday &ndash somewhere hot and sandy, somewhere you can drink ridiculous cocktails and swim in the sea and where you don’t need to wear body armour on the plane there. “I’m lucky to have my rest and recuperation break coming up in a few days’ time so I want to send Gemma a special Valentine’s message for when I see her.” His message to Gemma reads: “To the Princess of Yorkshire, I’m really looking forward to seeing you. Get ready to rule London next weekend! And whichever tropical beach you choose for summer leave (as long as it isn’t Scarborough). All my love, always Xxxxxxx.”
David is serving with the 57 Battery Royal Artillery.
