The event was to recognise the commitment of Victim Support staff and volunteers and the service they have given over the years to help victims and witnesses in court. Staff and volunteers were joined by four special guests, involved since the beginning – Frank Palmer, Norma Canevali, Maureen Utting and Stephen Okafor. Maureen and Stephen are still helping witnesses today, as witness service managers at Maidstone and Wood Green Crown Courts respectively.
Members of the judiciary and senior criminal justice representatives from across the country also attended, as well as people from the voluntary sector and funders of the charity.
