Volunteers pull their lifeboat for charity gtvid

Volunteers who save lives at sea in Bridlington took to dry land to pull their lifeboat a mile in a bid to raise money.
Joined by the town mayor, Councillor Liam Dealtry, the group pulled the boat from the Coastguard Station, Limekiln Lane, along North Marine Drive and through the town centre, finishing at the Lifeboat Slipway on South Marine Drive. It is one of many fundraising events organised by local resident Steve Tighe, who hopes to raise £2,500 for the Bridlington RNLI station. He said: “It’s one of many events to raise as much money as possible for the Bridlington station. “I’ve already taken part in the London Marathon and am looking for help from residents and businesses to reach the £2,500 target I set.” Although Mr Tighe trained for the event, Cllr Dealtry took on a different approach.
He said: “I’ve been eating my fish and chips in training.
