Aunt Is Inspiration For Charity Evening 2009: Involved Teesside

Aunt is inspiration for charity evening

Get involved A TEESSIDE mum hopes to help people whose lives have been affected by cancer with a charity fundraiser.
Inspired by the memory of her much-loved aunt, Daniella Scotchbrook has organised the event to coincide with the third anniversary of Alice Crainey’s death. When Alice, pictured right, lost her brave year-long battle against leukaemia, the family was left devastated. And tragically, on the day Alice died at the age of 61, her husband Bob was also diagnosed with cancer. Six months later, in February 2007, Bob also lost his fight. Mum-of-one Daniella, 34, of Birchwood Avenue, Grove Hill, Middlesbrough, said it was Alice’s positive attitude in life that finally inspired her to pay tribute by raising funds. She said: “Alice had lots of friends she was loved everywhere she went and she lived for her family.
“She made you believe you can do anything.
