Get involved THERE are less than two weeks left before hundreds of walkers will be arriving at War Memorial Park to raise thousands of
pounds for their chosen charities. They will be taking part in this year’s Coventry Leofric Lions Walkathon and there is still time to get involved. The walk is on May 10 and starts at 11am and rather than a set distance this year participants can complete as many 1.75mile laps of the park as they like. There is also a chance to win extra money by taking part in a fancy dress competition, which will be judged by the Lord Mayor and Lions president. One group already signed up to this year’s event is Coventry Osteoporosis Support, which meets regularly in St John the Baptist Church Hall.
