For The Reporter • August 17, 2009 Fond du Lac Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 270 will welcome International Eagles Grand Worthy President Mike
Lagervall Sr. on Thursday, Aug. 27. “Our aerie is honored to welcome the grand worthy president to our wonderful city of Fond du Lac during his tour of Wisconsin,” said Gordon Jorgenson, Fond du Lac Aerie 270 secretary. “We are excited to meet Mike and his wife, Martha, and raise money for his designated charity.” During the meeting, Lagervall will talk to Eagles members about the work of the Grand Aerie and Auxiliary. He will also encourage members to seek out new members. Grand Trustee David Tice from Two Rivers, Wis., will be available to answer questions about the Eagles. The Fond du Lac Aerie 270 was established in 1902 and has grown to more than 1,900 members. The Fond du Lac Auxiliary, home to more than 600 members, was founded in 1948. The Fond du Lac Eagles aid the local community and exemplify the international organization’s motto of “People Helping People” by donating to local, national and international charities, including scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
