Two giant forces, MTV and The Body Shop, have aligned and announced a global philanthropic partnership -the Spray to Change Attitudes campaign.
The campaign’s main aimis to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS among young people.
Today, around the world, there are close to 40 million people living with HIV or AIDS, and last year alone there were over 5 million newly reported cases. But one of the most concerning factors was that more than 50% new reports were aged between 15 and 24.
Both MTV and The Body Shop agree that there isa realneed for global awareness and education about the problem.
They believe that in order to empower young people and help with the fight against stigma, that attitudes have to be changed, taboos broken and ignorance smashed allowing more people to live a safe and long life.
Shown online and on MTV channels around the world, the global advert campaign aims to reach more than 1.4billion people, and a special-edition fragrance called Rougeberry will be available in The Body Shop stores in 44 countries. Together MTV and The Body Shop hope to raise at least 500 000 and are donating 4.50 of the perfumes sales to the Staying Alive Foundation.
So now with the help of MTV and The Body Shop you can smell good, feel good and party on dude.
