The event had three musical acts, Mandisa from American Idol, classic rock band Orleans and Country Music’s Male Vocalist of the Year, Jake Owen. Even with the expense of bringing such big names to Oviedo, the event’s attendees didn’t have to pay an entrance fee. Instead, they had to offer up an arm for a blood pressure screening. The entire event promoted healthy living including the vendors who served up decaffeinated beverages, chilled apples and smoothies.
There were more blood pressure screenings taken at the same place on the same day than ever before. In fact the Guinness Book of World Records said they got 75 more readings than they needed to break the record of 2,000.
