POKIN AROUND Queendoms unite A wedding of mayoral royalty

POKIN AROUND: Queendoms unite: A wedding of mayoral royalty So it came to be in 2009, anno Domini, that the queendoms of St.
Charles and Dardenne Prairie were united through marriage when Prince Jordan of St. Charles was wed in holy matrimony to Princess Rosie of Dardenne Prairie, forever altering the political landscape in St. Charles County. That would be Jordan York, son of St. Charles Mayor Patti York, and Heather “Rosie” Franklin, daughter of Dardenne Prairie Mayor Pam Fogarty. As fate would have it, in September 2007 they accompanied their mayoral mothers to a charity event, where they met and fell in love. On April 25 they married in a civil ceremony. A church wedding will follow on June 20 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne Prairie. The reception will be at the St. Charles Convention Center. The mothers, in this case, were not scheming like renaissance royalty to expand power and influence. But they do have playful imaginations. The grand plan, says Fogarty, is for the two cities to annex all of St. Charles County. With that accomplished, she says, all other mayors will serve in a new role. Prep Sports Photos
