When you think of Christmas, what is the first thing on your mind? Gifts? Christmas carols? Reunions? What if you could give the gift of love and acceptance as you listen to heavenly voices singing Christmas carols with your loved ones all in one night, won’t that be amazing? On December 6, the National Autistic Society will hold Starshine carol concert, a fundraising event to help them continue implementing their various programs for people with autism. Now on its tenth year, the Christmas concert will happen at St Clement Danes Church in central London and will feature the beautiful voices of the EC4 Music Choir.

According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 100 children globally has autism. While some people with autism can live independently, others have severe disabilities, such as epilepsy and depression, and require life-long care and support. Organizations like the National Autistic Society help them by putting up specialized schools fit for their needs and campaigning for their rights both in the government and in the private sector.
This year, start the season of giving on the right note! Book your tickets to Starshine now and make the world a friendlier and more accepting place for people with autism. As Charles M. Schulz, cartoonist and creator of the well-loved comic strip Peanuts, once said “Christmas is doing little something extra for someone.”
