Red Cross honors heroesThe Red Cross is currently seeking nominations for SCV residents who have taken action in a time of crisis to help others in the past year and consistently show exemplary compassion. The American Red Cross will hold its annual “Hometown Heroes Recognition Breakfast” 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at the Valencia Hyatt, 2455 Town Center Valley, Valencia. There are a series of walk-in registrations at local schools, though one can also be registered online. Start Smart class for teens at CHP The Start Smart class is aimed at helping newly licensed drivers and future licensed teenage drivers become aware of the responsibilities that accompany the privilege of being a licensed California driver.
